Head coach Mary
Mary has been a teacher for 32 years with Eastern-Carver County
Schools, teaching English for High School! Mary is an army brat, she
has lived in 5 states and 2 countries! Mary attended Heidelberg
American High School in Heidelberg, Germany, where she was on
the dance team as well as student council. Mary was also on her
Middle School's cheer team as well as a baton twirler!
Mary is so happy to be coach of the cheer team! She believes a
cheerleader is someone who spreads positivity and school spirit. Everyone needs a cheerleader in life, so she can't think of a better sport to coach! She truly loves the Chanhassen community, and she can't wait to bring the cheer team to victory as they approach their first competition season! Assistant coach LaTrice
LaTrice has been a cheerleader for 20 years! She was a high school and
college cheerleader as well as an All-Star cheerleader for Planet Spirit.
While at Planet Spirit, LaTrice coached as well! She is so excited to be
a part of the Chan Cheer team and loves to teach! She hopes to lead
the team to victory as they approach their first competition season!
LaTrice believes a cheerleader is someone who brings happiness and positivity to any situation. She can't wait to meet all the new recruits! #GOSTORM!

Captain Maggie
Maggie is a senior this year at Chanhassen High School! She was
captain her junior year and loved it so much! She can't wait for
another great year with chan cheer. Maggie has been on the team
since freshman year and hopes to continue to cheer in college.
Maggie loves to teach the team and be the person they can look
up to. She loves being a role model to the younger members!
Maggie is a three-time all-american at UCA cheer camp! She is
also attending the Varsity Spirit Spectacular in Orlando! This event
invites all all-americans from all over the nation to participate.
In addition to cheerleading, Maggie was a state qualifier in DECA, is a member of student council, theatre, NHS, choir, prom committee, yearbook, and was a member of the sailing team.
Maggie is very excited for another great year! #WEARECHAN!

Captain Vanessa
Vanessa is a senior this year at Chanhassen High School! She was captain
her junior year and is super excited to continue! She loves helping the
team and giving them the same love for cheer she has. Vanessa cheered for
several years in the PLAY program (2010-2013) for the Prior Lake Lakers.
She has cheered at chanhassen since freshman year and plans to continue cheerleading in college. She also participated in the UofM stunt clinic and performed a halftime show with them! Vanessa is a 2020 all-american from UCA camp. She is also attending the Varsity Spirit Spectacular in Orlando!
In addition to cheerleading, Vanessa also participates in choir and the multicultural club.
Vanessa is looking forward to a bright new season this year! #ROLLSTORM!
